Is a charitable cause worth killing for? That's what former kidnapping victim
Palmer Reed must decide when she is nominated to the board of Tennessee's
prestigious Diamond Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping the
victims of crime. Reuniting with the board's Chairman, a woman known as "The
Vindicator" who helped rescue Palmer twenty years ago from the hands of their
mutual enemy, Palmer is cast into the Foundation's society of country clubs,
elite galas, and fundraisers.
What will she do when she learns the Foundation's secret method for raising
money is something sinister - and worse, when she discovers the Chairman's
plan to take justice to a whole new level?
In The Seventh Survivor, mysterious accidents, betrayal, and vengeance make
sure that no one plays by the rules in this high tension thriller where
extortion, murder, and lovers past and present collide. The plot leaves you
asking - what would you do?

From the Author:
Though I started writing when I was fourteen, the passion never fully formed
until about ten years ago, closer to when I was thirty. I was more than my
usual passionate self about reading at the time, and all of a sudden, I saw a story
everywhere I looked. Every person I met, every place I traveled, every emotion
I experienced - it conjured up an image and a premise. I suddenly wanted to
write about everything. The Seventh Survivor was born when I was vacationing
with a friend in Florida where we often dined at her grandparent's country
club. This group of women would come in one by one every night and meet in a
private room. Then they would leave one by one, yet never be social with each
other while out in public. I, having a rather imaginative mind, began
thinking... what are they plotting back there?? They seemed an odd group, and
quite suspicious, so somehow that idea became mixed with the concept of
injustice and a group of former victims who decide to take matters of justice
into their own hands. A kind of "The Star Chamber" meets "The Junior League".
From there, I wrote my first novel, if you could call it that. It was an 800
page tomb, written from every point of view imaginable. Technique? You mean
there is a technique and rules for writing fiction?! I began going to
conferences and workshops and subscribed to Writer's Digest Books, and learned
that indeed, yes, there is a craft to writing fiction! Thus began my pursuit
of my self studied MFA over the course of the next five years. A few novels
and short stories ensued, followed by my first published piece, The Seventh
Survivor, a highly, and often, revised version of that very first novel.
Next up is a series about a novice FBI agent and her hunt for serial killers.
Yes, an often explored territory, but mine will have a twist - a "game" the
reader can follow along with. The first will be entitled 99
Truths, in which a novice FBI agent must uncover the one lie in a series
of 100 statements made by a serial killer in order to solve the crime. The
novel will contain 100 statements in the course of the interrogation scenes -
99 of them will prove to be true....and one will prove to be a lie, which will
reveal the killer. Cool? I think so...I hope readers will too!
